Spend one amazingly rewarding month investing in the lives of gifted North American college students!  For many, leading a Camp or Engage team and mentoring college students is an intensely rewarding experience.

Team Leader Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree — ELIC requires a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in any field of study.
  • Committed Christian— ELIC sends committed Christians.
  • Native-like English Fluency — Our country partners have contracted with us to send college students and team leaders with native-like English fluency.
  • ELIC Alumnus Preferred — Previous experience both in Asia and with ELIC is an invaluable asset to a team. Alumni who have served with ELIC for at least one year will receive first priority when assessing our team leader needs for this summer. Applicants who have significant teaching and college leadership experience will also be considered.
  • Committed to Serve in a Team Environment — ELIC teachers serve in a team environment and must be committed to maintaining a positive and successful working relationship with their teammates. Team Leaders must also be at least 24 years old and exhibit a passion to mentor and serve college students. As a Camp or Engage team leader, you’ll act as the official representative to the host institution where your team is assigned. While developing relationships with your team, you’ll challenge them to academic and professional excellence and hold regular team studies to foster team building and personal growth. It’s your chance to mentor and supervise 8-10 gifted and diverse personalities – one great team. Mentoring these North American college students through their summer journey will provide rewards that can’t be put into words.
